AURO Lime Paint (10 L)

USAGE

Paintable white covering for mineral substrates, such as plaster, concrete, limestone, mineral paint, clay, textured wallpaper, plasterboard, formerly recoverable layers.

SUBSTRATES

Suitable indoor substrates: Mineral substrates (e.g., plaster, concrete, limestone), clay, plasterboard, textured wallpaper, mineral paints, previously recoverable layers). Also suitable for emulsion paints based on synthetic resin, matte, and absorbent (always test beforehand on a small area of the surface).

Suitable outdoor substrates: Untreated, absorbent, weather-resistant mineral substrates (e.g., plaster, concrete, limestone).

Unsuitable substrates: Wood, plastic, or plastic-like surfaces, old layers containing plastic, glossy or lacquer-like coatings, dispersion paints based on natural resins, old non-adhesive and non-solid layers.

TOOLS

Brush, roller, Airless spraying with, for example, Storch SL 1000 or 1500 devices, or other similar devices.

TINT

Available in white or light shades only, Auro Wall Paint can be tinted with 25 g of pigment per 10 L of paint.

To prepare the color, simply dilute the pigments in a little water and mix well to avoid lumps. The mixture should have the texture of slightly liquid yogurt. Once the mixture is homogeneous, incorporate it into the paint and mix well.

APPLICATION METHOD

Intact and slightly absorbent substrates: Regularly impregnate them with Auro lime paint diluted with max. 10% water if necessary. After 24h drying, cover with 1 to 3 coats of undiluted Auro lime paint indoors, or 2 to 4 coats of undiluted Auro lime paint outdoors. Wait 24h between each coat.

Highly and irregularly absorbent substrates: Apply a casein primer to even out the bases. After 8 hours of drying, cover with 1 to 3 coats of undiluted Auro lime paint indoors, or 2 to 4 coats of undiluted Auro lime paint outdoors. Wait 24h between each coat.

Note: Wet paint remains translucent during application, but becomes completely opaque once dry.

DRYING TIME IN NORMAL CLIMATIC CONDITIONS (20°C / 65% relative humidity)

Overcoatable after 24h, depending on the temperature, air humidity, and substrate. In case of low temperature, the drying time may be longer. High air humidity promotes carbonation (hardening by carbon dioxide) process. Fully dry and resistant after 28 days. Drying time increases with high air humidity and/or low temperature. Sufficient tempered ventilation is essential during drying.

CLEANING OF TOOLS

Clean tools immediately after use with water. Avoid splashes and spills or remove them immediately.
